Saturday 1 July - Jazz in the Park presented by H2k and featuring The Swamp Things and The James Alley Jazzmen in Willowmead Field, School Rd. Bring your own picnic, table, chairs, wine and friends. Saturday 22 July - Childrens' Party on the Green organised by H2k. Entertainment, food and fun from 2.30pm inside and outside a marquee at Martineau Lane. Contact Caroline Speer 934 3886, or Jeff Pitt 934 1081.

Friday 28 July 5.30pm - Lads versus Dads Cricket Match at Hurst Cricket Club. Book your place on the teams now by calling David Shapland 934 2209, Rod King 934 3089 or Bob Willmot 934 3145. Licensed bar will be available, and if you’re not playing, get your seat on the boundary early and bring a picnic. Entry fee £1, and 50p for pensioners and children. All proceeds to charities.

31 July - 2 August - Great Newt! Six free workshops at Dinton Pastures for anyone over 10 years old to help create a monster sculpture of a 10 ft great crested newt. Book on 934 2016.

Throughout August - Wildlife Workshops for children on newts, barn owls, otters and stag beetles. Book on 934 2016.
