HVS runs and supports a number of events in the village. Traditionally, we run the Archery stand at the Hurst Show in June. Of course, a highlight of the year is the annual Dinner Dance, held in December, which is usually a sell-out affair.
The PRESENTATION EVENINGS in St Nicholas School Hall were well received
The next illustrated talk is on the 10th October at 8.00pm

The Manor House and the estate are steeped in history with many royal connections
In May 2003 the "What's On in Hurst" Internet information service was launched. Complementary to the Village Society's printed newsletter and website, this free e-mail service delivers information about events and activities in and around the village straight to your inbox.
Mailings are normally sent out monthly, although they may be more frequent. Subscribers to the service also receive an electronic copy of the newsletter and other news about the Village. The easiest way to subscribe to the service is to visit the Wooded HIll website.
The success of this service is dependent on support from people who want to publicise local events and activities. If you are organising an event or activity in Hurst, then let Wooded Hill know and the details can be included in a future mailing.
If you are interested to know more about what is going on in your Village, and have access to e-mail, then subscribe today, and get your friends and neighbours to subscribe too.
The Annual Dinner Dance is on Saturday 9th December 2017 in the Village Hall
The Triple 'O' Band and Thames Valley Discos are to provide the music until midnight. The caterersagain will be Fosters Catering from Basingstoke.
We will again have a rendition of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" - each 'day' being sung by the diners on the twelve tables in turn. Last year was brilliant and a highlight of the evening.
