The Castle at Hurst is a free house with parts of the pub dating from the 16 century.  Owner Matt is passionate about food and quality ingredients, sourcing local seasonal foods.  The Castle offers freshly prepared pub food including his famous burger.

Back in January 2020 it was decided to refurbish the window frames of the Castle Inn, this turned out to be a bigger job than anticipated..  leading to a major works.  Read what happened....

The Green Man in Hurst is a fine example of a Traditional English Country pub with an extensive beer garden. It was awarded its first license in the 1600's and have been serving thirsty travelling tradesmen and villagers ever since.

Just reopened in March 2023, with a new chef.

This 19th Century Wheelwright's shop started selling beer when the railways arrived in the early 1850's. A friendly local attracting both visitors & residents, it retains its stone floors, beamed ceilings, exposed brickwork & real fire. The friendliest dog pub in Berkshire!
