HVS/PTA Christmas Dance

10 December 2022

The HVS Christmas Dinner Dance returned to the Christmas calendar with a sell-out event after an absence of two years due to the pandemic.

The black-tie event was a huge success with all 120 tickets sold.  From the moment the party started, guests were treated to a Christmas themed evening starting with a welcome glass of bubbly and canapés. The festive main evening meal was served at tables draped in white linen and Christmas decorations, the hall was themed with Christmas fir trees, pinecones, masses of white fairy lights and an enormous Christmas tree. The bar stocked an extensive selection of wine, beers and sprits and staff were kept busy all evening as everyone embraced the party atmosphere. HVS had managed to secure one of the very best party bands in the area and they took the main evening by storm with almost non-stop live music from 9pm until the last reveller departed.  The band were so popular, HVS have received multiple requests to ask them to return for Christmas 2023.

HVS would like to thank the enormous village support received for the event and for the generosity of local businesses who contributed to the raffle and to the bar stock. The HVS committee is eagerly preparing for an even more sumptuous Dinner Dance for Christmas 2023. The event raised over £2800, and 50% of this is to be donated to the Hurst St Nicholas CE Primary School.
